How much is enough communication?
27 January 2010
It’s that time of year again when employee satisfaction and engagement surveys start to fly around organisations, creating varying levels of panic for those who have failed to keep their finger on the pulse.
Good business communication is especially poignant when considering current levels of unemployment which can play on individual’s insecurities and lead to increased suspicion and possibly even to accusations of employers not being fully transparent.
At Freedom we actively encourage year round two-way dialogue, it’s not a gimmick. We strive for continuous improvement, leverage both traditional communication approaches such as surveys as well as more creative initiatives and of course we utilise the best technology.
We place a great deal of responsibility on the shoulders of our managers, encouraging them to take ownership of communication and make it their business to ensure that their team(s) are kept informed, providing individuals with every opportunity to put forward ideas and to actually demonstrate that we are listening through follow-up.
